SUMMER SEWCIAL RETREAT …

As well as plenty of time for your own projects we will be looking at different methods for Cathedral Windows and piecing curves, both suggestions from our last retreat. From the traditional hand sewn through to modern machine sewn. We also take a look at Wonky Log Cabins which will include the piecing of curves.
The weekend includes:
- Friday arrival, set up and sewing from 12:00, hotel room check in from 14:00. Afternoon refreshments and 2 course evening meal.
- Saturday: Full English or Continental breakfast, morning refreshments, sandwich buffet lunch, afternoon refreshments, 2 course evening meal.
- Sunday: Full English or Continental breakfast, morning refreshments, sandwich buffet lunch, afternoon refreshments.
- 2 nights overnight accommodation in single, en-suite rooms equipped with:
- Freeview TV
- Wi-Fi
- Combination safe
- Hairdryer
- Tea/coffee facilities
- Free parking on site
- Unrestricted use of the sewing room from 9:00 until 21:00.
- Support of two experienced Tutors during daytime sessions. (9:00 to 17:00)
- Workshops and demonstrations based on Cathedral Windows and Curves.
- Plenty of time to work on your own projects.
- Ironing boards and irons will be available in the sewing room.
- A Trader will be joining us with a selection of fabrics and basic quilting supplies and notions.
- Retreat closes at 15.00 Sunday afternoon.
The cost of the retreat is £375. £50 deposit (non-refundable) secures your place, with two further payments of £162.50 by 31st March 2023 and £162.50 by 23rd June 2023.

WINTER QUILTING RETREAT …

Along with plenty of time for your own projects, this retreat concentrates on different elements of quilting including: Hand Quilting, where we will look at both Stab and Rocking Stitch, Big Stitch, Walking Foot and Free-Motion. It is advisable to have a basic understanding of Free-Motion-Quilting if you wish to take part in this section, such as attending my three day, Free-Motion-Quilting course, as we look to develop our FMQ skills.
